MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will release the October 2024 Optometrist board exam results, together with the list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools, on or before October 15, 2025 or in three (3) working days after the last day of examinations.
PRC administered the Optometrist Written licensure exam on October 2, 3 and 4 and October 7-10, 2024 for the Practical exam in Manila.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Date of Registration: TBA
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
Optometrist board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.
Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and enter the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.
COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
The theoretical examinations covered the following: ocular pharmacology, ocular/visual biology, clinical optometry and specilaty areas of optometry (Day 1); physiological optics, binocular vision and perception, primary care and refraction (Day 2); and ocular diseases and ocular emergencies and perception, ethics, jurisprudence and practice management, theoretical and practical optics and opthalmic dispensing including contact lenses (Day 3).
RELEASE OF RESULTS
Based on PRC Resolution No. 1891 series of 2024 for the revised schedule of licensure exam for October to December 2024, the target release of October 2024 Optometrist board exam results is on Tuesday, October 15.
Note that results may be released ahead or on later date without prior notice. We advise takers to closely monitor this page for the updates.
PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS
In the October 2023 Optometrist board exams, PRC announced results in four (4) working days. A total of 153 out of 226 passed the exams. Southwestern University (SWU) was the lone top performing school with 88.89% or 32 out of 36 passed. Solana Libertad Co Cua from Foreign University topped the board with 90.51%.
In the October 2022 Optometrist board exams, results were also released in 4 working days. The agency named 179 out of 285 who passed the exams. SWU was the lone top performing school with 85.53% or 65 out of 76 passed. Giuseppe Roy Cabatic Campilan from SWU topped the board with 89.83%.
In the December 2021 Optometrist board exams, results were out in 35 working days. PRC named 226 out of 254 who passed the series of tests. Centro Escolar University (CEU) - Manila led the schools with 93.60% or 117 out of 125 passed. Kim Elijah Eduba Torio from CEU-Manila earned the highest spot with 88.72%.
