MANILA – The May 2025 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE) or nursing board exam top 10 or topnotchers, including the other results – list of passers, top performing schools and performance of schools, are expected to be released on May 14, 2025, or within five (5) working days after the last day of exam.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) administered the nursing board exam on May 5 and 6, 2025 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Ilocos Sur.

In the November 2024 Philippine Nurses Licensure Exam (PNLE), Chariemae Nuñez Cañazares from Cebu Normal University led the passers with 92.60%. Arianne Marie Baltero Estrella from University of the Philippines (UP) - Manila ranked second with 92.20%.
In the May 2024 PNLE, Abigail Escueta Cayanan from St. Jude College-Dasmarinas, Cavite Inc. topped the board with 92.60%. Jim Jerico Cedric Garo Uy from Saint Paul University - Tuguegarao came in second place with 91.80%.
In the November 2023 PNLE, Aristotle Calayan Castronuevo from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and Cris Vinz Corpuz Tomboc from West Visayas State University (WVSU)- La Paz tied on highest spot with 91.00%. Carl Justine Talavera Pantig from University of the Assumption came in second place with 90.80%.
In the May 2023 Nursing Licensure Exams, Cristin Bagang Pangan from University of the Philippines (UP)-Manila topped the board with 91.60%. Mary Edrianne Codilla Sobretodo from Father Saturnino Urios University came in second with 91.40%.
In the November 2022 PNLE, Abigail Garganta Ramirez from Saint Paul University - Dumaguete grabbed the highest spot with 90.00%. Jezrel Cabasis Alijid from West Visayas State University (WVSU) - La Paz and Melchor Flores Pimentel Jr. from Saint Louis University followed with identical rating of 89.80%.

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
All examinees, passed or failed, may verify their rating within few working days after the results were posted.
Visit the PRC Official site and proceed to the Verification Page.
Provide the required details such as examination name, exam date, application number, first name, last name, and birthdate.
OATH-TAKING
The PRC will announce oathtaking schedules in few days after the release of exam results, and those attending the face-to-face mass oathtaking must register by noon the day before via https://online.prc.gov.ph.
Inductees must print and bring their personalized Oath Form with a QR code for attendance tagging; those unable to attend in person can opt for an online or special oathtaking.
Following the ceremony, inductees must schedule their Initial Registration online through the same portal.
COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
The May 2025 Nurse Licensure Exam has drawn basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in the major subject areas i.e. Fundamentals of Nursing including Professional Adjustments, Maternal and Child Nursing, Community Health and Communicable Disease Nursing, Nursing of Adolescents, adults and aged and Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.
The examination tested competencies in relation to the 11 key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. These areas are categorized as follows:
1. Patient Care Competencies (safe and quality nursing care, communication, collaboration and teamwork, health education)
2. Empowering Competencies (legal responsibilities, ethico-moral spiritual responsibilities and personal and professional
development)3. Enabling competencies (management of resources and enviromment and records management)
4. Enhancing competencies (research and quality improvement)
PNLE is compposed of five (5) parts namely:
- Nursing Practice I (Community Health Nursing)
- Nursing Practice II (Care of Healthy/At Risk Mother and Child)
- Nursing Practice III (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part A)
- Nursing Practice IV (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part B)
- Nursing Practice V (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part C)
