MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Metallurgical Engineering are expected to release results of October 2025 Metallurgical Engineer Licensure Exam on October 27, 2025, within two (2) working days after the exam.
The Metallurgical Engineer results include the complete list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools.
PRC conducted the Metallurgical Engineer board exam on October 21, 22 and 23, 2025 in the cities of Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Lucena, Palawan and Pampanga.
The members of the Board of Metallurgical Engineering who gave the licensure examination are Hon. Agustin M. Fudolig, Chairman and Hon. Juancho Pablo S. Calvez, Member.

Release of Results
Based on PRC Resolution No. 1927 series of 2024, the October 2025 Metallurgical Engineer board exam results will be released on Monday, October 27, 2025, two (2) working days after the last day of exam.
Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice.
Registration and Oathtaking
Note that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be announced later.

All examinees of the recent Mining Engineer board exam may verify their ratings online through PRC's verification of rating page. Just enter the required information in the appropriate fields to verify your identity.
Coverage of Examinations
The three-day examination for Metallurgical engineers covered the following subjects:
Metallurgy I: mineral processing, pyromettalurgy, metallurgical fuel, technology, refractory science, hydrometallurgy, electrometallurgy and metallurgical physical chemistry
Metallurgy II: physical metallurgy, mechanical metallurgy, crystallography, metallography, iron and steel metallurgy, non-ferrous metallurgy and foundry metallurgy
Metallurgy III: inorganic qualitative and quantitative chemistry, metallurgical law, jurisprudence, ethics, statistics and experimental design, engineering economics, mechanics, hydraulics and design of simple metallurgical process, operation, plants of facilities
Previous Examinations
The October 2024 Metallurgical Engineers Licensure Examination saw rapid results, with the PRC releasing them after just one working day. Out of 67 examinees, 41 passed, with Russel Hibaya David of the University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman topping the board at 86.65%.
Similarly, the October 2023 examination results were released within a single working day. Of the 64 examinees, 39 passed, and Aaron Dave Tabuzo Tomas from UP - Diliman led the passers with a score of 87.95%.
In October 2022, results for the board exam were announced in two working days. Out of 47 candidates, 31 successfully passed, with Christian Jiminez Basa of UP - Diliman achieving the highest rating at 84.65%.
The October 2021 board exams saw results released in three working days. From 38 examinees, 20 passed, led by Agustin Dominic Escano Laplana of UP - Diliman, who earned a top score of 86.55%.
