Update on Bar Exam Results
Update as of December 4, 2025: The 2025 Bar Exam results will be released on January 7, 2025.
To quote, SC stated: The Office of the 2025 Bar Chairperson will release the Results and List of Successful Examinees (Results) for the 2025 Bar Examinations through a public announcement in the afternoon of January 7, 2026 (Wednesday). The Successful Bar Examinees will then take their oath and sign the Roll of Attorneys on February 6, 2026 (Friday)."
Coverage of Examinations
Aspiring lawyers were tested in the following core subjects:
1. Political and Public International Law (15%)
2. Commercial and Taxation Laws (20%)
3. Civil Law (20%)
4. Labor Law and Social Legislation (10%)
5. Criminal Law (10%)
6. Remedial Law, Legal and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises (25%)
Passing Grade
Bar taker will have to earn at least 75% as total weighted score to pass. This score is the product of Bar subject’s relative weight and raw score as a percentage of the maximum possible score.
While a bar examinee is “deemed to have passed his examinations successfully if he/she has obtained a general average of 75%,” the SC en banc has the discretion whether to make adjustments, as it did in the previous Bar Examinations to lower the bar exam passing percentage.
In the 2024 and 2019 Bar Examinations, the passing percentage was adjusted from 75% to 74%.
Earlier, the Supreme Court also lowered the passing percentage to 70% in 2012, and to 73% in both the 2013 and 2014 Bar Examinations.
