MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the results of the September 2026 Social Worker Licensure Exam (SWLE) on Wednesday, September 16, 2025. The announcement will also include the list of top-performing schools and overall school performance.
PRC conducted the licensure exam in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga on September 9, 10, and 11, 2026.

Previous Examinations
In the September 2025 Social Workers Licensure Examination (SWLE), four schools shared the top spot among institutions with 51 or more examinees after achieving a perfect 100% passing rate. These were Bicol University-Daraga with 113 passers, Davao del Norte State College with 88, Mindanao State University-Marawi City with 82, and Cavite State University with 62. Caraga State University-Butuan City followed with a 99.25% passing rate, as 133 of its 134 examinees passed.
In the September 2024 SWLE, Bicol University-Daraga and Davao del Norte State College likewise recorded perfect 100% passing rates, with 116 and 78 passers, respectively. Caraga State University-Butuan City ranked next with a 99.02% passing rate, with 101 of its 102 examinees passing.
Meanwhile, four schools shared the top spot in the September 2023 SWLE, all posting a 100% passing rate: Caraga State University-Butuan City with 94 passers, Leyte Normal University with 42, University of the Philippines-Diliman with 30, and Southern Christian College with 17. Bicol University-Tabaco followed with a 98.90% passing rate, as 90 of its 91 examinees passed.

About the Social Worker Licensure Exam
Social work is a profession focused on providing organized services that strengthen social relationships and help individuals adjust to their environment. Its goal is to promote the well-being of both people and society through recognized methods.
A social worker is a trained practitioner with academic preparation and professional experience. They apply their skills to meet the objectives set by the profession.
Social work was formally recognized in the Philippines on June 19, 1965, with the passage of Republic Act No. 4373. The law required practitioners to earn a social work degree and pass licensure exams. It also created the Board of Examiners for Social Work.
